KOSAKA Sakiko

She received Doctor degree from Tokyo University of the Arts. Her pieces were performed in Italy, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Hong-Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Japan by Sinfonica Siciliana, Malmö symphony orchestra, Basel chamber orchestra, The Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra,Tokyo and a lot of chamber ensemble groups etc.
Her main activities are based on Japanese ancient traditional music theory Gagaku that has peculiar glissando, radiant mass and distinctive structure. Her Hichiriki, (Japanese instrument of Gagaku) concerto "Ka-chou-ran", premier on ACL Music Festival in Tokyo 2003, was reperformed in Brandenburg by Brandenburger Symphoniker in 2017.
Her chamber orchestra piece "zh
ī jī (Vega)" will be performed by Alvarez chamber orchestra UK in 2022, Harmonica concerto "The paulownia flowers" will be performed Hong Kong in 2022.
