OKAMOTO Yuriko

She graduated from the history department of Japan Women's University.
She started composing by herself while she was raising three children, and she attended "Introduction to Composition" by Akira Miyoshi and Teruaki Suzuki. She continues to study under Suzuki.
Her "Red Flower" won the Sound & Recording Magazine Award in the '93 Multimedia Contest. She publishes a complete piano score collection "Mother's Scene". She is a music friend "Me and Chopin" Excellence Award. She won the "Nobara" Grand Prize at Matsumoto's "'97 Hibike Nobara 88 Song Concert". She mainly composes ballet music.
She is a member of the Japan Federation of Composers Inc.
